Spread the Love Giveaway (Closed)
Happy Sunday everyone!
There are a few things I need to update you on… but first, I’m feeling generous and thankful so it’s time to launch our very first giveaway! In the spirit of Valentine’s Day we’re calling it the Spread the Love Giveaway.

So here’s the deal: I’ll be giving away a pack of 12 Bee Mine cards with envelopes included for you to hand out to all your friends and loved ones. To enter, simply comment on this post with a reason why you like Valentine’s Day, or a favourite memory associated with it. People bash on this day, but we need to remember that holidays like this aren’t about how much money you spend, but the time you spend with the people you love. You don’t have to be in a relationship; Valentines is for families too! Show them that you’re thankful for having them in your life.
The giveaway will be closed on Thursday, January 28th at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 29th at 12:00 a.m. The winner will be chosen by a random generator and will be announced that afternoon.
Finally, I just want to say thank you to those of you who have supported us so far. I really do appreciate all of the visits. Even though we are still in the young stage of development, I promise you we aren’t going anywhere and we intend on continuing to grow. I ask you to ’spread the love’ for us by spreading the word about To Have and To Hold on Facebook, Twitter or on your own blog. It really means a lot to me that we have already received so much love after just a few months of being at work.
Thanks again and I look forward to reading your comments!

I love your blog check it out everyday! I love Valentine’s Day (well this is the first year I love Vday) b/c it’s the first year (in 27 years) that I will have a Valentine for. I’m so excited about the holiday that I am making presents for all of my friends who don’t have Valentines and cupcakes and cookies for all of my students.

Favourite memory associated with Valentine’s Day:
At a high school Valentine’s Day assembly, playing the song Hanging by a Moment by Lifehouse for a girl who dumped me for another boy a few days before. Then having her meet me after the assembly for some major neckage back stage. Then later that night going to the school dance and having everyone look at us in awe when the DJ played the song Hanging by a Moment (hey, it was popular that week!).
I’m pretty sure we broke up again the next day, but the ephemerality doesn’t change the memory. Most good things are fleeting: what grants them permanence is how you hold them in your heart.

Such a beautiful design Sam! I love the airy, fragile quality of the lines and the bee is just adorable. You have an eye for simple beauty. It’s very refreshing.
Thanks! <3

In grammar school, I had my first kiss on Valentine’s Day. Was definitely not the best, but it’s something you don’t forget!

Every year, I get kids’ valentines and hand them out to people with chocolates (and sometimes removable tattoos, like last year, when Kung Fu Panda valentines came with awesome individual removables!). Just seeing how surprised and happy everyone is about receiving valentines that we stopped giving out in grade 3 is amazing, and I get a kick out of bumping people out of their V-Day Grinchy-ness!

my mom has always bought me really vibrant and very uncomfortable valentines socks from the dollar story, for as long as i can remember. and as much as they clash with my mostly grey and black clothing preferenc i always wear them for about a week or so, because they pretty cute and it makes happy. i enjoy making v-day a family event <3.

This Valentines is extra special for me because it’s the first one I get to spend with the love of my life. In the past I’ve actually always been a Valentines Day cynic and rolled my eyes at the chocolates and cards that people would exchange. I believed fully it was a holiday invented by greeting card companies, but I know now that it’s all about love. Now that I’ve found that special ingredient I’m having fun thinking up some recipes for my Valentine.

Hello, To Have and hold. I am your # one fan. I am so proud of my daughters hard work and great goals in life. To spread the love, I decided I should share why I like Valentine’s Day. Sharing cinnamon hearts to say I love you is easy.
