Teacups

I want to share some illustrative work I found on Flickr a while back. Kate works under the name Little Doodles online and produces a beautiful collection of hand-drawn/painted pieces. She relies on a technique called pointillism, and is known best for her vast collection of little birdies. They have made appearances on stationery, tote bags, window displays, and a variety of trinkets.

Check her Flickr stream, blog and Etsy shop for all the goods!

Exotic Bird

Birds are a huge part of Spring time imagery, which is why I would like to share with you the exquisite photography of John&Fish. This photography team is based in Taiwan, and they capture a plethora of birds in their natural habitat. The colours are so inspiring and often unreal, and I had a hard time choosing a photo for this palette. I promise you, you will also fall in love with each delicate bird in the photos :)

Ashley Anna Brown recently won a contest for DIY Weddings hosted by Etsy and Martha Stewart Weddings…a well deserved recognition, if you ask me! These lovely birds are made with recycled vintage fabrics, and stuffed with 100% organic cotton.

Beehive Kitchenware

Every newly-wed couple will need household items to build their home. Some couples will not have a bridal registry, but you can still get them a gift that is thoughtful and practical.

Beehive Kitchenware hand-makes exquisite spoons and other items from lead-free pewter. The designers behind the brand are inspired by nature and its patterns, and promises each item is “made with love”.

If the bride is a baker, she will truly enjoy these, meaning more baked treats for the groom! And we all know the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach :P
