Vera Wang, Spring 2012 Preview

Vera has taken a twisted turn in her latest bridal collection. Cream and black deconstructed chiffon, tulle, organza and lace adorn the gowns, creating a sort of wicked enchantment. What does everyone think of the dark, earthy direction for the Fall 2012 line? I’d say it’s perfect for the month of October.

Monique Lhuillier, Fall 2011

In love again, with Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2011 Bridal collection. The inspiration seems to be feathers, flowers, and antique glam. I can never get enough of this stuff.

Mix, Mingle Marry!

This Sunday, from 12-5pm, I am ecstatic to be attending the Mix, Mingle, Marry event at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. It is the first bridal showcase curated by Jessica Reid of Jessica Laine Celebrations, and there is a great line up of vendor presentations and showcases. I can’t wait, and I will surely be documenting the happenings, but if you are interested in attending yourself, you can purchase tickets online here. I’d love to see you there!

Bridal by Maria Lucia Hohan

More gorgeous dresses! It’s dresses like these that make me feel like if I weren’t doing graphic design, I would have to be dedicating myself to fashion. I’m not kidding you, these beauties actually tug on my heart strings a little bit. Swan Lake anyone?

Check out the MLH online shop for party dresses, accessories and more stunning looks. I just wish I had an event to go to for all of them. Thanks to this Creature Comforts post for introducing me to such a lovely collection!

Monique Lhuillier, Spring 2011

Another friend recently got engaged – whoo hoo! Congrats Lila! She asked for a little dress help so for the next few weeks I’m going to be featuring the work of some of my favourite dress designers, starting with Monique Lhuillier’s 2011 Spring line.

I’m usually not a sucker for bead work, but these pieces are gla-mor-ous! This spring collection brings everything to the table: elegance, romance, and drama. I wish I was daring enough to wear that short little ‘Vegas-style’ number below. Browse through the entire collection at moniquelhuillier.com to find something that suits you.
