Vintage Tiered Jewellery Stands

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Wendy and Andrea Ho are the sisters and team behind W.Ho Made It. They recycle antique plates and cups, and make them into wonderful jewellery stands. Each one is unique, and is matched appropriately. I love that these remind me of high tea, and are perfectly practical for storing everyday jewellery. A great gift idea for your bridesmaids ;)

This pair of matching cups by studio note from Japan, is both elegant and meaningful. The white and blue patterned cups look as though two separate porcelain cups were broken, and then pieced together to combine the two.

Of course, that is not how the cups were really made, but the way they compliment each other do give the idea of sharing and being inseparable. They are truly a pair, holding the pieces their other half does not to complete them :)

The pieces are joint with a technology using silver, which makes them very delicate, but they look too beautiful to be placed in a microwave anyway :P The name and packaging are equally as cute! It makes a very memorable housewarming or wedding gift.
