Exclaim Cards

If you haven’t yet seen them in the Etsy shop yet, here is the official reveal of my new Exclaim cards for February. The whole set along with trios are available for sale, so get them now while they’re hot… like those little cinnamon heart candies. Valentine’s day is quickly sneaking up on us.

Exclaim is a set of block stamped cards for those incredibly heart-warming occasions where you want to shout out to the rooftops with joy and excitement. The inside of the cards are blank for your personal message. They come with a matching brown kraft envelope and each card is created using careful handcrafted techniques. The stamps were hand carved and printed onto fine quality white card stock.

These are great for weddings, showers, Valentines, engagements, anniversaries… you name it!

Perfect Match

Internet friend Adam J. Kurtz has again created a charming little mail-out for all you love bugs out there. The Perfect Match Postcard is perfect for valentines or anytime, really.

Stated best by Adam: “this postcard announces what you already knew… you’ve found your pefect match! Maybe it’s pizza, a good friend, or your favorite cat, or maybe, just maybe, it’s a significant other. Let them know without roses, foil inks, or any scary four-letter “L” words.”

Hear, hear! Let’s not be too tacky this Valentine’s Day, folks. Say I Love You in an awesome way like this.

Let It Snow, a Holiday Postcard

I know some of you have been waiting anxiously for this reveal, and although it’s only a single postcard to kick off the holiday season, there will be many more crafted goodies to come! So hold onto your reindeer.

Expect this stocked in my Etsy shop this Friday, with a few other surprises. xo

Nothing Will Stop… THE WEDDING!

I’m off to Niagara until Tuesday to catch up on some much needed relaxation time. Short and sweet, but it certainly will be enjoyed.

So before it’s too late… Happy Halloween everyone! Check out this amazing zombie apocalypse invite illustrated by Ellen Forney. I love the black and white comic style. Truly, truly awesome. Certainly not traditional, and I’m all for it.

Postcard of the Month Club

Adam J. Kurtz, a talented artist/designer I follow frequently, has a great ongoing project in action called the Postcard of the Month Club. It’s been running all year, but it’s not too late to jump on board. It includes twelve postcard prints delivered over the course of 2011, plus a welcome kit to catch you up when you first join!

Membership for 2011 is only $22 (USA), and the welcome package features one of each postcard from January 2011 until time you sign up, 2 pins, 2 pencils, and a personalized welcome letter. Monthly postcard mailings will follow until January 2012. Hooray! Sign me up!

Frame them to use as prints or mail them out with heart-warming messages to your friends. Either way, it’s an awesome gift.

Click here to purchase the postcard club membership or visit Adam’s online shop for super-serious print products and other trinkets. That not enough? Check out his wicked portfolio.

My first studio shoot + interview

Big things that happened this week included the release of my photos from my very first official studio shoot AND my very first interview with Charlotte Rivers of Lotti Loves blog. I’m so fortunate to have been contacted by Charlotte, not only for this interview, but also in regards to my Celebrate! card line. The big BIG news is…. I’m going to be published in her upcoming book, I Heart Stationery out this fall from RotoVision. I can’t tell you how excited I am! It feels incredible to have this opportunity and it just assures me that I’m in the right field.

Charlotte Rivers is a freelance writer based in London who focuses on design, lifestyle and more. Take a look at my detailed interview with her here.

Check out the rest of my studio shoot and new products on my Flickr photostream (click left through the photo menu on the right hand side).

And don’t forget to visit my Etsy shop or message me if you are interested in purchasing or ordering my work.

Kid Icarus

Kid Icarus is a great little store and print shop here in Toronto’s Kensington Market that carries, creates and supports handmade goods.

Not too long ago, Still Motion worked with them to capture their story on camera. And it is magical! As Justin from Still Motion sums up: “working with bianca and michael of kid icarus was a blast. their shop is super cute, their location is in one of toronto’s hippest neighborhoods, and their love for craft and handmade is infectious.”

I couldn’t agree more! I have even had the privilege to meet both Bianca and Mike myself, and I really hope to work with them on some printed projects in the future. Their screen printing skills are amazing.

Check out their blog for all the fun projects and products they carry.

Paper Record Player

Most creative. Invitation. Ever. Seriously ambitious and amazing. Why didn’t I think of this? Oh right… only a genius would think to make an actual functioning record player out of paper. Whoa!

I will always announce new listings on my Twitter too, so follow me there if you want to be in-the-know.

Thanks for all the love and encouragement with these cards to everyone who commented and blogged! I really appreciate it and I’m looking forward to bringing you great things in my shop.
