Anika Mari

I’m admiring these nature-inspired pattern artworks by Anika Mari, who I stumbled upon on Flickr. The colours and line work are just beautiful! You can visit her personal blog here to view more.

Robin Cameron

I love abstract illustration and Robin Cameron, who is a Canadian artist but based in New York, has an extensive portfolio of them.

I really like the affect of this dream-like photography with gouache overlays.

She works a lot with just forms and texture, mostly watercolour, collage and graphite. It really lets you appreciate the quality of the medium, and gives off a romantic feeling without really knowing what the content really is. It’s just so raw that it draws me in instantly and without any real explanation :) And that’s what love is like right? Just a gut feeling, and plain beauty.

Natsumi Nishizumi

Another wonderful stumble-upon: Natsumi Nishizumi‘s incredibly sweet line and watercolour illustrations. The simplicity is what makes these pieces so magical.

spotted napkins

She even has these lovely spotted napkins available for purchase at her online shop. They have been hand-screenprinted with water-based inks on 100% organic linen. Perhaps they would be a perfect addition to your table-setting? The pastel colours and dew-like drops remind me of spring. Oh….how far away it is now.
