Real Wedding: Cherrie & Jaman

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

A friend of mine, Jaman, was just married to Cherrie in Hong Kong last week. As a pre-wedding trip, the couple went to Hokkaido, Japan in January with a photography company, Muse Muse to take their wedding photos.

Jaman and Cherrie traveled with two other engaged couples, and a photography team of 4 people to Japan for 15 days. Since Hong Kong doesn’t get snow, it was a special opportunity to capture their pre-wedding photos in a winter scene. From the behind the scenes video, you can tell it wasn’t easy capturing these shots in the cold! However, I’m sure it left each couple with beautiful photos and a great memory. Congratulations!

Happy Listening: Snowed In With You

Friday, December 25th, 2009

A few posts back I was mentioning how mesmerized I was by the decor at Anthropologie. Well, while I was there I was also captivated by this little number that came on their playlist. Regardless of how chilly it was out that day, the atmosphere inside melted all of that away. I hope all of you are staying warm and spending today with a special someone… or someones. :)

Happy Holidays everyone!

Bottle Cozies

While I was taking an internet break from making these knitted mug cozies for my friends…

…I came across these adorably bundled up bottles on Grey Likes Weddings, which were also featured on Style Me Pretty. The DIY tutorial for the wraps are located here.

You could also knit your own, but if you don’t know how or if it’s too much time and effort, a good ol’ sweater you no longer wear anymore sure comes in handy. Or just try shopping at thrift stores. You will no doubt come across some good finds there.

DIY snow globes

Well Worn recently featured these great DIY snow globes from Anthropologie. I went into the store for the first time this week and was literally floored by the decor. I felt transported into another world. Everything was so crafty and magical. I was particularly impressed by these large, bushy plant-like structures made from rolled newspapers. But since it is the holiday season, I felt these adorable jar snow globes with antique jewelery and figurines placed inside were appropriate. Possible center pieces?
